Our “No Questions Asked” Refund Policy:

Our policy is unique because our rate of customer satisfaction is very high.  With West Point, payments are considered refundable deposits for as long as your account is active, and the funds are reduced as you use services.  That means it’s still your money, and upon request for any reason, we will gladly refund 100% of the amount you paid, minus the a-la-carte prices of any services provided in good faith as posted on this website at the time of payment.

Accounts expire 2 years after the most recent payment, or 1 year after the most recent contact from you, whichever is later.  If your account expires any unclaimed or unused deposits are forfeit.  However, while your account is active you may extend the expiration up to one year by calling our office and stating that you still intend to use our services – This extends the expiration to 1 year from the date you call.  You may request an email confirmation of the date your account is set to expire.

For refunds, please allow four business days to receive a check or for a credit on your card. Online courses are non-refundable. In rare instances, West Point Driving School may elect to sever our commitment to provide further services by refunding your remaining balance per this policy.

Our “On-Time Guarantee”:

If we’re more than 20 minutes late and you do not wish to keep your lesson, WE’LL PAY YOU $40!  This applies even if the issue is outside our control, with the exception of “acts of God or government” such as extreme weather or pandemics affecting a wide region of our service area.

84% of the time our instructors are either early, or they arrive within 5 minutes of the scheduled time. (This is from our historical vehicle tracking data.) But sometimes traffic happens, cars break down, flat tires happen etc. If an instructor anticipates being more than 5 minutes late, he or she should call you to keep you informed.

Simply call the office and request to cancel the appointment due to our late arrival.  We’ll inform the instructor not to arrive, and happily send you a check for $40. In case of a misunderstanding of the appointment time, we may first review audio of the phone call from when the appointment was scheduled.

In rare instances we may cancel a scheduled appointment in advance.  If this happens we will always do whatever it takes to make sure you get a replacement appointment promptly. (We may call in an off-duty instructor, perhaps the owner.) However, if this happens with less than 24 hours’ notice, we’ll still send you a $40 check, even if your replacement appointment happens the very next day.

If You Need to Cancel an Appointment:

We know you have good reasons if you need to cancel or reschedule.  It’s never a problem to cancel an appointment, but… Instructors must be paid for time they have made themselves available.  Therefore, if you must cancel with less than 24 hours notice, the fee for holding the unused time slot is $40.  We believe this is the lowest late-cancel fee among driving schools in the Sacramento area.  As you see above in our “On-Time Guarantee”, we hold ourselves to the same standard.  To cancel, please call our staff or leave a voicemail at (916)381-3211 anytime, seven days a week.  A voicemail is sufficient to cancel, but please listen to your recording to confirm it was clear before you hang up.

If You Need to Change Your Pick-up or Drop-Off Location:

If you wish to change the pick-up or drop-off location for an appointment, please call us in advance!  It’s usually not a problem if the new location is within our service area, but when your appointment was originally scheduled, we checked the travel time to and from other students’ appointments.  We may not be able to accommodate the change unless we shorten the length of your appointment.  (All teens must receive at least 6 hours of instruction.)

Special Service Fees:

The following fees may be changed without notice. Current fees shall always be posted on this website.

$40…….Holding an appointment which is canceled with less than 24 hours notice
$10…….Replacing a lost or damaged DMV certificate  (This fee may be waived once.)

Privacy Policy:

We collect information about students, guardians or other individuals whose consent or participation is necessary to use our services.  We do not transfer personal information to outside parties other than the California Department of Motor Vehicles, or to others as required by law or necessity.  We may use your information to contact you regarding your paid services, for collection of debt or for other administrative needs.  All information is protected using a variety of security measures including password protected databases.  Sensitive credit card information is transmitted via Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology and then encrypted into our payment gateway providers.  All staff are required to keep your information confidential.
